Yoga by Tysu is the best thing that has happened to me and my health.  After doing unlimited yoga with Tysu both Ashtanga and Hatha I am off blood pressure medication and anti anxiety medication.  I have had high blood pressure for fifteen years and have been on and off medication with my blood pressure never below 138/90.  I have also taken many different types of medication over the years for anxiety and OCD (Obssessive Compulsive Disorder).  I have practiced yoga with Tysu for the past 5 months on average 3 times a week (I would go everyday if I could) and am off all medications with a normal blood pressure 120/70!  It hasn't been that low since I was a teenager!  I have learned many breathing and meditation techniques that have helped to control anxiety.  I've also lost weight and feel alot stronger. I always look forward to class.  Thanks Tysu for the inspiration.  You are a joy to be around! With love, Christine

I’m excited about our volunteer day with Habitat on Tuesday, Sept. 27th, and so grateful as we are very in need of volunteers! We’ll discuss more today, but just wanted to give all of you the info. We will be framing the duplex (I attached a picture taken a few days ago) for Liz Thompson and Emily Yeager (bio attached for Liz), who are putting in 250 hours a piece and will ultimately purchase their homes with a no-interest mortgage.

The site is located at 26210/26212 South End Rd., Kittredge, Co 80457.   We have special permission to just do a ½ day from 12:30 to 4:30.  Since it’s only four hours and it takes time to do an orientation and training, please be parked and ready to go at 12:30 so the crew leader can get everyone going at  once and we can have a productive afternoon.  Please bring with you some water & water bottle, sunscreen, and wear sturdy closed shoes (no Crocs, sandals or flipflops).  All tools, hardhats, and safety glasses will be provided for your use on your workday.  You are welcome to bring your own tools, if you like, but you are responsible for them. Please note that all volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. 

It’s important that everyone sign up on the website so we know how many people to expect and so that we can plan enough work to make sure everyone stays busy. Last year I thought we had four, and ended up with 10!  Again, signing up and showing up on time helps us ensure a productive day for everyone. Sign up at  www.bluesprucehabitat.org, then click on Construction Volunteers.

When you sign up, please print out our liability waiver which you can sign and bring with you on your workday with us. There is also a map to the build site location along with written directions at the bottom.  Please also print this out, as a GPS or Mapquest will NOT get you to this location.
